I am writing to request admittance into the Teacher Education Program at Hannibal-LaGrange大学. My name is Margie Smith, and I am a twenty-year-old from Hannibal, Missouri. I attended Mark Twain Elementary and then Hannibal Middle School and Hannibal High School. 当我还是个高中生的时候, I was a member of FCCLA (Future Career Community Leaders of America), 学生会, 和FTA(未来教师协会). As a member of FTA, I was able to go into various elementary classrooms to help with math groups. It was during these experiences I decided that I wanted to become an elementary teacher.

We all learn in different ways, and no two people are the same. I want a classroom of my own where each child feels like a part of a positive community of learners. Each student needs to feel valued so that he or she can reach their full potential.
